Jeffrey L. Stein

Jeff is an owner, operator and investor in multiple real estate properties in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern United States.

Jeff is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Fortress Capital Investors, FortCap Management, and the Stein Family Real Estate Companies. He is directly responsible for the asset management and property management of the portfolios, consisting of over 1,700 apartment units and various retail, commercial, and office properties. Jeff also directly oversees a team of 44 professionals associated with these properties.

From 1999 through the present day, he has been the decision maker and director of day-to-day operations for the Stein Family Companies which own or owned properties totaling in excess of $60 million. These properties include approximately 300,000 square feet in shopping centers, in addition to other commercial properties.

In 2004, he and a partner formed Fortress Capital Investors and FortCap Management. They directly sponsored the acquisition of real estate projects in excess of $150 million in 4 states. These projects included office, retail, and multi-family properties. In addition, Jeff has participated in purchasing both performing and non-performing loans in excess of $9,000,000.

From 1999-2004, he worked as a Vice President at Harbor Group International and directly participated in over $400 million in commercial real estate transactions. His duties included sourcing deals by establishing lasting relationships in the brokerage community, performing detailed financial underwriting of the project, extensive on-the-ground market research, coordinating and participating in on-site and financial due diligence of acquisitions, negotiating sales contracts and loan documents, and he was responsible for all logistics of the closing process for acquisitions, dispositions, and the refinancing of properties.

Jeff began his career in investment real estate as a multifamily broker in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. He is an active member in both the Urban Land Institute, International Council of Shopping Centers, and National Multi-Housing Council. Jeff is a graduate of the University of Maryland with a degree in finance. He is married with three children and currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia.

Adam Sauer

Adam, the active Vice President, is responsible for all operations of FortCap Management which serves residential, commercial, and industrial properties in multiple cities throughout the southeast, driving business growth, operational effectiveness and process efficiency. He is an executive with over six years of proven experience in creating success for customers across the United States. Prior to joining FortCap Management, he was most recently a Development Associate and Pre-Commissioning Manager with Novare Group where he participated in the development and management of over 2,700 high-rise residential units along with numerous retail components.

Adam is a graduate of the University of Georgia, where he received a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, majoring in Finance. He is an active member in both the National Multi-Housing Council and the Urban Land Institute.

Kim McCall

Kim is the Regional Manager for FortCap Management. She is responsible for the day-to-day on-site operations of all FortCap Management’s apartment communities in the Southeast. She currently supervises all on-site operations for building and training teams for our communities, financial reporting, assisting in the implementation of marketing strategies of our communities and overseeing and preserving resident relations.

Kim’s leadership and commitment are critical to the performance of the FortCap portfolio. With over 12 years of hands-on experience, Kim has directly worked in all operational disciplines prior to becoming a regional manager. She began her career as a Leasing consultant and has held most of the positions in multifamily operations since then including the onsite management of five different communities. She has previously worked for Berkshire Realty Holdings, Johnson Development Associates and Bell Partners Inc.
